With spring coming up, I’ve started whipping up some more halter tops for Elliott. Since it has been months since I’d made one, I was referring to my own tutorial to refresh my memory. I found myself running back and forth from my sewing machine to my computer and realized that you guys have probably been doing the same thing when following my tutorials. So, I decided to add a button that allows you to print any of my posts (especially tutorials and recipes!) in PDF form.

At the bottom of each post, you’ll find this:

Simply click that, then open or save it. Print and stash for crafty days!

I’ll include some links to my more popular tutorials for you guys to bookmark and save as PDFs.

Owl Party Favor Tutorial

Hair Clip Tutorial

Felt Board Tutorial

Halter Top Tutorial

And while I’m in halter-top-making mode, I thought I’d share some fabric combos from Fabric.com that are so cute and fun!

I love these two from Michael Miller’s Lagoon collection.

These prints from Alicia Place Frost are just gorgeous!

Who can resist Heather Bailey’s Pop Garden collection?

This fun set is from Michael Miller’s Gray Citron & Black collection and I just love it!

You can never go wrong with Amy Butler. These two are from her August Fields collection. Beautiful!

So, I hope the PDF feature makes crafting a bit easier for you! Be sure to let me know if there is anything I can do to make things on The Green Wife easier for you guys to use and enjoy.

And I want to know:

Who has started on their spring sewing? What fabrics are you loving for this season? I would love to see some links!

So because of yesterday’s amazing weather, we decided to sleep with the windows open and it felt fabulous all night! The fresh air was wonderful and we could hear the breeze and the buzz of the season’s first insects hard at work…it was so peaceful! However, a bit of a cool front blew in this morning and I am sneezing my head off. Oh the joys of allergies!

I’m about to head out to the post office to ship out clips and then we’re going to scope out possible locations for Alex’s upcoming birthday party. He’s going to be 6, wants a Transformers cake and party and plans to invite his entire class. We’ve got an enormous yard and plenty of room for a big crowd of kids and parents…but I just can’t picture dozens of people trampling in and out of the house to use the bathroom. See, Shayne and I don’t cope well with messes and/or chaos within the walls of our home. So, back to today…we’re scoping out party venues and avoiding Chuck E. Cheese like the plague it is.

One thing I haven’t told you all about is my tendency to have very odd and random dreams. Night after night, my brain amazes me with the whacked out stuff it amuses itself with at night. Last night…goats. Freakishly large ones. See, in my dream we were at out my mother’s house in the country and spotted a couple of beautiful little fawns out in the treeline. In an effort to see them better, we went out on her back porch and sat quietly. Well, apparently I was dreaming in Disney mode because they began to approach us out of curiosity…but! As they drew nearer, we notice they were no longer fawns, but goats. The nearer they came, the larger they came and by the time they reached us they were horse-sized goats. Now that is disturbing stuff. Know why? Because there’s one more thing you don’t know about it…and it’s that goats give me bigtime heebie-jeebies. (What’s up with those eyes???) The dream was rather uneventful after that…just these freakish horse-sized creepy goats staring us down with an alien-like presence. And nobody found that unsettling but me. Silly old me.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Weather.com says it will be 84 this afternoon! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, squirrels are playing…it’s gorgeous! It’s spring! I just opened up all the windows and it’s so refreshing! We have a huge family of doves that live in our back yard and they are just chatting it up…what a lovely sound! I hope all of you are having such lovely days!

Alex’s spring break officially started today, so he just left for a weekend with the in-laws. I miss him, but I know he’ll have a great time playing soccer and walking down the street to get a cup of his favorite ice cream in the afternoons.

Today, I’ll be doing a bit of playing with Elliott, cleaning the house and making clips to match her new clothes that came in the mail yesterday! Oh, the fun to be had!

Have a beautiful day!
