So….the swine flu

It’s here.  In my lovely little hometown.  As of right now, one elementary has been closed.  There are 13 ‘suspicious cases’ and 5 others that were directly exposed to comfirmed cases in another town.

Ack.

So, because this is all over everything you hear and see, I would like to poll you guys!  Please feel free to elaborate on your answers to each poll in the comment section.  I love hearing thoughts on this!

If there were confirmed cases of swine flu in your school district, but not at your child's school, would you keep your child home from school?

    I love that you did a poll on the swine flu! :)

    I am with you on keeping your kids home.
    I am not all that concerned with the swine flu. It is after all just another flu.
    However kids are not always able to fight off viruses as easy as adults can.
    Since not much is known about it, I think its better to error on the side of caution!

    Now really how many of you like dealing with a sick child, better safe than pulling your hair out. Ha
    I really don’t think this is any different than any of the other flu strains.
    But what do I know.

    I have a relative who got the Swine Flu in Mexico. It is a good thing that he already recovered from this disease.
