I must confess

I’m not one to get involved in politics. At all. Watching, reading or hearing about politics usually ends up making me a combination of nauseated, infuriated and depressed.

Yesterday, though, my brother sent me this link:

Vote Chooser

My curiosity got the best of me and I did the quick, 10-question quiz. The candidate that I matched answers most closely with really surprised me, but hey…..I’m just full of surprises! Anyhow…after reading the candidates stances on some hot issues, I do feel slightly more inclined to pay attention and vote my teeny vote.

Take the quiz….it’s more interesting that you’d think! (Kinda like a Clif Notes version of the race….)

  1. The Vote Chooser was fun… and for me… it was dead on! I already know who I am voting for… and Abbie… I think you SHOULD vote your vote… In a system without The Electoral College (which I HATE) ONE vote could and WOULD make a difference. Someday, maybe we will see that happen… but until then I think it’s important to put those numbers in the History Books… For The People, BY the people was the original design… maybe someday they will RESTORE us to our glory and your vote wont feel so TEENY! … incidentally, I don’t think it’s teeny at all!

Sorry, didn’t mean to sound preachy… but your important… what you think is important… it’s sad that the system has changed our perspective on this so much that some of us don’t even feel like voting because it’s not realy “counted” anymore.

    Cheers and Solidarity!

Thank you for this comment, Betty! It makes me feel so….patriotic! I’m inspired! I do hope that one day the power of our votes…and the faith in our own vote…is restored! Until then, I’ll take your advice and put those numbers in the books! :)
