I’m not sure when it started, but I know I was pretty young. I became obsessed with cameras and it’s all I wanted for my birthday starting around….maybe age 7?? I would secretly hope as I opened birthday gifts each year that someone had read my mind and new that I longed for a camera. That I needed a camera. I had the photography itch.
I’ve had decent cameras over the years, but this birthday brought on a whole new phase for me. My amazing husband came home from ‘running errands’ a couple of days ago. He had me sit on the couch and cover my eyes. I was a bit apprehensive. Scared, even. He’s quite the practical joker, so I half-expected a pet snake, a dead mouse….a cockroach. I just didn’t know. With it being a couple days shy of my birthday, I wasn’t expecting him to lay a brand new, shiny, beautiful Canon Rebel XSi in my lap. It shocked me into tears! It was…..incredibly thoughtful and sweet and generous. I love my man. Since then, this camera has consumed my thoughts and even my dreams. I have much, much, much to learn about SLR photography, but I’ve had fun playing already.
Here are my kiddos, captured by the Rebel:

Also, I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Birthday Buddy, Diane! Everyone wish her a wonderful day!!!!!

Yup - he’s a pretty cool guy - but then he SHOULD work hard to keep you happy.
Glad you liked his gift (I LOVE the pictures and I am quite jealous!) and congratulations on your 21st!
