A big day in Alex’s life!!! (and mine!!!)

Alex, my sweet 5 year old, came running up to my while I was vacuuming and said, “MOMMY! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!!!”
I shut off the vacuum, expecting that he had found a bug or gotten to a new level on his video game. He looked up at me with wide, bright eyes and opened his mouth wide….and reached up to wiggle his first loose tooth!!!!!
I immediately got choked up and so proud (and a little sad!) that my sweet little angel boy is about to have one of those snaggletooth grins. The ones that I never thought were cute before, but suddenly I find myself thinking it’s going to be a beautiful sight! This is MY baby’s snaggletooth grin coming within days! Oh, the tears! I’m so excited and emotional…over a tooth!
So, I give him a huge hug and congratulations and then check it for myself….only to discover that all FOUR of his front little teeth are at some stage of looseness! The other 3 are pretty slight, but his top left has a nice little wiggle to it!
So….yeah. My little boy is growing up despite my every effort to prevent that! And…I love it. The tears, the lump in my throat and my tight chest are the fruit of so much pride and love that my son has reached this huge milestone in his life!
Today, I will take my kiddos out in this beautiful sunny weather and snap lots of pics while we still have all of our teeth!

Awwww… I love da snaggletoof grins! lol. I do hope we’ll get to see a photo of his new smile soon!
Aww, wow!!! What a milestone!!! How exciting (and of course a little bittersweet, I hate how fast kiddos grow up…and my kiddo is only 7 months, lol). Can’t wait to see pics of the snaggletooth grin!
Awww! It’s so bittersweet! Chloe has her first loose tooth too.
