Elliott’s 2nd birthday

Elliott’s birthdy was just a couple of days before we headed to Vegas–right in the midst of our most chaotic times we’ve had in years. Funeral, holidays, travelling. We’ve been living a whirlwind lately and her birthday was a bright spot in the middle of that chaos! I’m finally posting pics of it now that things are settling down a bit around here.
She enjoyed watching me work on her cake so much! Once it was finished, it was all she could do to keep her hands off of it!
I think she enjoyed her balloons more than anything.
But she thought opening gifts was just pretty awesome, too!
She listened intently as Alex gave her step-by-step instructions on the art of blowing out candles…
And she went for it!
What a pro! And she really enjoyed her cake! She even ate some of Alex’s leftover piece! See the face of approval? That alone made all those hours of preparing and decorating worth it!

The cake is gorgeous and the 2 year old is even more gorgeous!
I just love her faces….love her to pieces! And Sir Alex….good golly he looks like his Daddy in those pictures!
