Yesterday we went out to the country.  Grandma lives out in the country, as well as some aunts and uncles, so we always have a lot of fun on our trips out there.

Alex insisted we pay a visit to Baxter, my aunt & uncle’s chocolate lab.  Baxter is absolutely wonderful with the kids and Alex is at the perfect stage of boyhood to really develop a deep love for such a pup.

Now….I’m about to try my hand at recreating a type of ornament my mother made when I was little bitty.  In fact, I might not have been born yet.  I dont’ know.  I’ve been looking online to find instructions or tutorials for this ornament, but have had no luck.  So, if they turn out, I’ll make a tutorial and post it soon!  Wish me luck!
